Dahlias and seed parcels are some of the most exciting parcels that can show up on your doorstep! I understand the excitement, trust me. Im a Dahlia addict just like you. I have turned my passion into a small business. I love every bit of it, and I am humbled from the support from each and every one of you.
I hand pack each and every order. I do my best to triple check the contents before sealing it shut and taping the label on. As silly as it sounds, please make sure your address provided is accurate and current. I do not know if you've moved, that's something you must tell me!
All orders are shipped with USPS priority mail. This has a transit time of 2-3 days. I do my best to get them out the door and on their way to you. Every order has tracking that will update when your label has been purchased.
I have no control over shipping costs. At the beginning of February USPS increased shipping prices yet again. This too is out of my control. The money you pay for shipping goes directly to shipping and not me. I will do may best to combine orders when I can and refund any overages.
Seeds ship separately from tubers. This is why I offer shipping options for both separate or combined. I understand wanting to get started early in the garden and this is why I offer that option. If you purchase seeds and tubers but only one shipping option I will reach out to you via email to confirm that is indeed what you intended to do. If this is the case then they will ship together during the month of April when tubers get dispatched.
But Miss Madaline! I live in balmy California or in Florida! I want my tubers shipped now! Can you do that for me, pretty please?
As much as I understand you lucky ducks get to start sooner than the rest of us over here on the East side of the Country I cannot and will not ship put any sooner than the first week of April. The weather here is freezing or just above freezing. The tubers will show up at your door very sad and damaged from sitting here in Michigan waiting to be shipped to you. Since I have a finite number of tubers I cannot offer replacements for "shipped too soon" tubers. You will be out dahlias and money. If you ask my opinion, those are terrible options.
If waiting until the first week of April is not a option for you please consider this when making your purchase. As much as I want to please the customer I cannot do so knowing the high risk of failure. Thank you for understanding.
